The Power Of Jesus

What if I told you the power of the Word of God doesn’t need a defense? What if I told you that there is no need to argue over theology? What I’m proposing seems impossible, because it has become a part of our daily lives. But the fact is, Jesus is alive, and He is still operating today. And we don’t need to argue with others on IF Jesus is the Son of God, Because He IS. But we don’t need to have a theological debate to persuade others that He is alive, we can show them. Confused? Here’s my testimony.

A month ago, Hayden and I went out to Fort Worth to feed and minister at the train station. (Keep in mind, this is the same day we prayed over the guy with a torn MCL and he was healed.) While we were out, we came across a Mormon Priest named Jarrad. He wasn’t too happy that we were Christians, until we prayed for his back and he was healed. Within the hour, Hayden and I prayed for the man with the torn MCL, he got healed. He took off his leg brace, dropped his crutches, and ran up and down the street yelling “Jesus is alive”. You should have seen Jarrad’s face.. For the first time in his life, he experienced something real. Later that day, Jarrad got on a bus and returned to Utah. Well, he just called me this afternoon. He called to thank us, because Jarrad is now a Christian. He said that he has never felt so loved, like the love we showed him. And he said he couldn’t deny the fact that Jesus is Lord! Now he is ministering to the Mormon community, and I believe he will spark a revival in Utah. You see, we don’t need to debate. Because when we are filled with the Spirit of God, and we walk in faith, God always shows up!

Mark 4:26-29
“He also said, “this is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain-first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.””

I love this parable! This is our mission, to scatter seeds! All it takes is one seed, and we can change the world. That is the Power of the One! I hope this encourages some of you to walk in confidence, because Jesus is alive, and the harvest is plenty!

The One

Jesus goes after the one. He will never pass up the one person. He knit you in your mother’s womb. You’re chosen, you’re worth it, you’re loved.

A few years ago I was in a season of loneliness. Although, I was never alone. What I didn’t know is what God was about to do in me! God taught me who I am in Him, that I really am His daughter, and that He will never leave or forsake me. He taught me that I only need to lean and depend on Him. He fulfills and meets my every need.

God is a good Father. Sometimes we forget that. A lot of the time I lack spending time with Him, and making Him a priority. He wants to spend time with me more than I do Him, I’m just being honest. The best part is, He’s always waiting for me to come to Him. To talk, cry, laugh, to be honest with God and myself. He just waits with open loving arms and a big huge smile! He loves so deeply.

It reminds me of the story of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-31).

I really would like to encourage you all to read it for yourselves.

It starts with a man and two sons. The boys ask their father for their inheritance. He divides it evenly, and the younger one gathers all he has and leaves. He spends all he has and ends up in a desperate situation and goes to work, but he begins to starve even though he’s working. So he sets out to go back to his father and work for him and declares himself unworthy to be his son and to become his father’s servant. As soon as his dad sees him returning he runs to him, wraps his arms around him, and kisses him. His son says father I’m not worthy. His dad speaks to his servants and tell them to get his best robe, ring, and a fattened cow, and gives it all to his son who went away and sinned. He says my son was dead in his sin but now he has returned to me and he is alive.

YOU GUYS, this is Jesus and US! It will never matter what we do, NOTHING can separate us from His love. He will always welcome us with open arms and a kiss. He love His kids so much and if you could just see that it would change everything.

This is for the person in the church who is just going through motions of being a christian.
This is for the person who is thinking about just ending their life.
This is for the person who thinks they’re unworthy.
This is for the person who feels unloved.
This is for the person who feels alone.

I can promise you this. The void in your heart your filling with drugs, alcohol, porn, cutting, etc, whatever it is, only Jesus can fill the void. It took me 18 years to realize that and I’ve never regretted letting Jesus in.

To the person reading this:
He loves you more than anything in this world. He will always be there for you. He’s waiting for you to run back to your arms. He’s happy to wait for you, He chose you.

Loving His Presence

As I sit thinking about all God is doing, and how He changes lives, I thought about what He has saved us from, and what He has saved us to. He saved us from sin, addiction, darkness, and living for ourselves. He saved us to Himself. Because our sin is washed away we are able to have intimacy with Jesus. We are able to talk to Him, hear His voice, encounter His Spirit, experience His presence, and KNOW HIS LOVE! So amazing! This is the most important thing! We do not have a works based relationship with Jesus, but we can not hold Him back from the world when we truly know Him, and know our identity in Him.
This scripture comes to my heart as I type…

“Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word. But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, ‘Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.’ But the Lord answered and said to her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.'” Luke 10:38-42

So amazing! Jesus said the good part was to sit at His feet and listen to His word!

“Jesus showed me that loving Him and creating space for His presence really can change and transform the hardest of situations. He showed me that changing the world is wrapped up in intimacy with Jesus. We are not called to do one with without the other. Healing the sick or seeing someone saved is not as daunting of a task as some may think. Our first command is to love Him. To know Him. Abide in Him. Then as we walk in His love, we joyfully get to love others with Jesus. Not in a pressured way, but in glad, walk-with-Jesus way. God longs to see His children run to Him in love, and run to the lost along side Him.” A brother in Christ

If we do not know Jesus intimately like a friend, we are being ripped off, because He was ripped up for us to have this. Our inheritance, the very reason He payed for our sins, is so we can know Him.

Hope this encourages you all to go sit at the feet of JESUS 🙂

In the presence of God,

Lady Saved At Jack N The Box

1 Timothy 2:4-6
“who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.”

Hey guys, Hayden checking in! So today was awesome. Honestly every day is amazing when we walk with Jesus! I have a quick testimony I want to share from today. Richard and I went to Fort Worth today to share the love of God. It was great, we shared the gospel with homeless, gang members, a guy from Kenya, and many more. It was awesome. But I want to focus on this one story. Richard and I went to Jack N The Box (JNB) to buy 60 tacos to feed our friends on the street while we share Jesus and pray for people. We showed up at JNB, and I told the workers there that they are going to hate us, but we need 60 tacos. They laughed and complained until I told them we are feeding homeless. Just to bless them, Richard tipped all three of the employees. They were grateful, it was pretty radical! When they were finished, I shared a word of knowledge I had with the lady working there. I felt her back was hurting and asked her if her leg was shorter than the other… She said yes, and was amazed and wondered how I knew, so I shared my testimony and told her Holy Spirit lives in me and He knows all things. Richard and I sat her down, and prayed and she got COMPLETELY healed! She was rocked! She did not know what to say! Richard and I shared the gospel with her for the next 20 minutes, and she listened intently. I shared the cross, and how Jesus came to forgive us, reconcile us to God, and give us new lives in Him. Richard shared about how it will cost her everything. We shared scriptures with her like “whoever wishes to find their life will lose their life, but whoever loses their life for My sake, finds their life.”. After we got done sharing with her, she said she wanted to give her life to Jesus! So we walked her through what that means, and we prayed for her! GOD IS SO GOOD. He wants to change lives every where we go, but we have to be willing to step out in faith and share Jesus! Hope you all are encouraged!

No Separation Between Gospel Message and Miracles

Hey Guys! In the blog area of the website we will be posting teachings and MANY testimonies. We have SO many testimonies already, and many more to come. It is nearly impossible to record every testimony when we follow Jesus. The Apostle John wrote in John 21:25 “And there are also many other things Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written.”. Jesus is STILL ALIVE and we still have this same problem :). So like I said before, we will do our best to post as many testimonies as we can. Our heart is that you come with us and obtain your own testimony of what Jesus did through you!!!
Here are a few scriptures concerning the Gospel of The Kingdom…

“For the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power.” 1 Corinthians 4:20

“for our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction; just as you know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.” 1 Thessalonians 1:5

“and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-5

“And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.'” Matthew 10:7-8

“Therefore, those who had been scattered went about preaching the word. Philip went down to the city of Samaria and began proclaiming Christ to them. The crowds with one accord were giving attention to what was said by Philip, as they heard and saw the signs which he was performing. For in the case of many who had unclean spirits, they were coming out of them shouting with a loud voice; and many who had been paralyzed and lame were healed. So there was much rejoicing in that city.” Acts 8:4-8

“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:15-18

This man was walking by when we were reading the bible with some people we met at the train station in downtown Fort Worth. He stopped, and Austin and I started talking to him about Jesus. He was already a believer, and was so encouraged by what we were doing, so he hung out with us as we shared the gospel, and handed out tacos from Jack N the Box. After awhile we prayed for his knee. He had torn his MCL 2 years previous, and after multiple surgeries he still had major problems with it. He had not been able to bend his knee much or run in those 2 years. Being compelled by love, we layed our hands on his knee, prayed in the name of Jesus, and immediately he was healed. He said the pain was gone, he bent his knee like he had not been able to previously, and took off running, yelling “JESUS IS ALIVE” “JESUS IS ALIVE”. We yelled with him! Because of this miracle, many came over to us, asking to hear about Jesus, and to receive prayer. We shared what Jesus did for us on the cross with many, and prayed for many. God moved in a mighty way that day. It all started with loving the person in front of us, and believing that the Word of God is true! The picture above was taken 30 minutes after he left. He was gone but his crutch and his cast was still on the sidewalk 🙂
