Repairer of the Breach

Isaiah 58:6-12

“Is this not the fast I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him. And not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And the darkness shall be as the noonday. The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. Those among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell in.

About

Welcome to Repairer of the Breach! Thanks for checking in! Our everything is summed up in the motto that YWAM (Youth With A Mission) uses, “TO KNOW GOD AND TO MAKE HIM KNOWN”. We got our name from Isaiah 58 which is posted above. We know Jesus to be the Repairer of the Breach, He came and shed His blood to forgive us of our sin (which was the breach), and to reconcile us to The Father! Through His blood there is no more separation between us and God, and not only that, when we give ourselves to Jesus and we are washed clean by His blood, we receive The Gift that Jesus promised in John 13,14, and 15… The Holy Spirit! How amazing is that? We can be FILLED with God’s Spirit! Jesus is the answer for every problem in this world. Every heart is searching for Him. Jesus is burning with love for nations, for cities, and individuals. Jesus is always after the one. Jesus crossed seas, and lakes to save the one that needed Him. He never passed up the one, and neither will we. We believe by saying “YES” to Jesus and going and running with the power of the gospel, Jesus will save the lost, equip the saints, break chains of addiction, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, open blind eyes, open deaf ears, raise the dead, and BRING REVIVAL. We are committed to following Jesus in a radical way. The gospel is a RADICAL AND WILD LOVE MESSAGE, so we are committed to running with this love! We know according to scripture that there is NO separation between the gospel message, miracles, signs, wonders, and radical generosity. We will run with the gospel. We will run with the love of Jesus. We will see needs met. We will see the captive set free. We will see lives changed. We will see revival. Jesus desires to see revival in our cities, and our streets, He is looking for those who will say “YES” and run with His love. We are committed to obeying the great commission, and obeying Jesus.

It’s a simple ‘YES’ to obeying Jesus. He is our Shepard, we are His sheep. He has commissioned us to go and preach the gospel, Jesus says the miracles, signs, and wonders will follow us when we go (Mark 16:15-18)! If God is stirring your spirit as you are reading this you are welcome and commissioned to come, and I PROMISE the Holy Spirit wants to use YOU! If you’d also please be praying for us! We need your prayers!

Most importantly we believe the real impact in our communities comes from having a real intimate relationship with Jesus. We must bring an encounter with Jesus to people, and this has the most impact when we daily have an encounter with Jesus! Just like Moses in Exodus 33, we must say “God, if Your presence does not go up from here with us, we will not go”. His presence changes everything.

Jesus showed me that loving Him and creating space for His presence really can change and transform the hardest of situations. He showed me that changing the world is wrapped up in intimacy with Jesus. We are not called to do one with without the other. Healing the sick or seeing someone saved is not as daunting of a task as some may think. Our first command is to love Him. To know Him. Abide in Him. Then as we walk in His love, we joyfully get to love others with Jesus. Not in a pressured way, but in glad, walk-with-Jesus way. God longs to see His children run to Him in love, and run to the lost along side Him.
